Dr. Anuradha Choudry 
Anuradha, did her Ph.D in Vedic Psychology from Pondicherry University and was awarded the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship of the EU for an M.Litt in Crossways in European Humanities. She also received a UN related Scholarship for a course on Human Rights at the Summer University of Human Rights, Geneva. Presently, she is a Fellow at the Development Foundation, Bangalore, and is involved with the Centre for Indian Psychology, Jain University, Bangalore, where she has organized and participated in conferences and workshops to deliberate on an alternative paradigm for psychology based on the Indic worldview. She is currently also an instructor at YogaAnytime.com and has been a resource person for teaching Spoken Sanskrit, Yoga Psychology and about the transformative power of mantras at the European Union of Yoga in Zinal, Switzerland (2011, 2013, 2014), Auroville International, Netherlands, the School of Practical Philosophy and Economic Sciences in UK, Ireland and Australia, Ojai Yoga Crib, Ojai, USA, and several other Academic Institutions and organisations across the globe. Dr. Vinayachandra B. K.

Dr. Vinayachandra B. K., is presently the Director of Veda Vijnana Shodha Samsthanam, a Bangalore-based research centre working in the areas of Sanskrit, Yoga and Indic Studies. He is also the co-founder of Ritambhara Yogashala and Takshashila Institute of India Studies along with Dr. Anuradha Choudry. Vinayachandra has a PhD on psychological insights in the Vedas from Pondicherry University, Masters’ in Sanskrit, English, Yogic Science and Applied Psychology. Earlier he has worked as teaching/research faculty at Development Foundation, Centre for Indian Psychology, Jain University, Karnataka Knowledge Commission and SVYASA Yoga University, Bangalore.

Vinayachandra is a dedicated teacher who travels across the world conducting courses, lectures and workshops on a unique blend of Yoga, Psychology and Sanskrit. He is a guest faculty/resource person at various Universities and Yoga Associations including Ghent University, Belgium; University of Houston, US; Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland; Vedanta Academy, Belgium; Irish Yoga Association, Ireland; Yoga University, Switzerland; Yoga Pramiti, Italy; Slovakia Yoga Association, Slovakia; School of Philosophy and Economic Science, Ireland; Ojai Yoga, US; Vyasa Houston, US; VYASA Singapore; Panaga Yoga, Brunei etc. He has had the privilege of being a tutor at the European Union of Yoga Congress, Zinal, Switzerland for the years 2013, 2014 and has been invited as the Guest of Honour at the upcoming Congress in 2017.

His publications include a report on Standardization of Yoga Terminologies for WHO, a book co-edited with Dr. Anuradha Choudry titled ‘Perspectives on Indian Psychology’, published by Jain University Press besides a few­­­ articles, papers, booklets on Yoga, Indian Psychology, Culture and Spirituality. In addition to his academic interests, he is deeply passionate to work with children and youth and is involved with several cultural and service organizations in varied capacities.



Gabi Gillessen

Gabi qualified as a Yoga Teacher in 1997, with the Irish Yoga Association and qualified as an IYA Tutor in 2001. She also holds an Introductory Iyengar Yoga Teaching Certificate. Gabi is the Chairperson of the Irish Yoga Association and Senior Tutor for the Association, on the Deepening the Practice Courses, Teacher Training Courses and the Post Graduate Courses.

Gabi is the current President of the European Union of Yoga. She co-organised the EUY Annual Congress, in Zinal, in 2009 with Herman Seymus (Belgium) and Geza Timcak (Slovakia), in 2010 with Herman Seymus (Belgium) and Sergio Azon (Spain) and in 2013 and 2014 with Gert-Jan Overdijkink (Netherlands) and Roland Haag (Swiyzerland). Through her role in the EUY she aspires to protect and uphold the authenticity of Yoga Teaching and Training.

Gabi’s teaching has been influenced by her studies with Teachers such as Paddy McGrath, Dona Holleman, Yogacharya Venkatesh, Sraddhalu Ranade, Dr. Anuradha Choudry and Dr. Vinayachandra BK; both in Ireland and abroad. Her studies are continuous and her teaching style is unique! She arranges for groups of Yoga practitioners to participate in Intensive Yoga Workshops in Auroville, Southern India, and co-hosts the Indian Psychology Course in Bangalore, India.
